Dan Caste, Principal
Dan Caste, a third-generation real estate developer, has over 20 years development experience in the Western PA market. Serving in the role of asset manager and partner of Caste Village, one of the first mixed-use developments in the Pittsburgh-Baldwin Whitehall market, he progressed from the management of retail and rental assets, into the expertise of land development for new single and multi-family projects in the region. His financial background and development experience have lead to the successful completion of over 100 million in project infrastructure.
Under his leadership and direction, Laurel Development has progressed into multiple markets with notable projects including Highland Country Club (Ross Twp.), Bender Estates (Upper St. Clair), Lawrenceville Place (Pittsburgh), Hartman Farms (Franklin Park), Coventry Towne Center (Cranberry) and Bakery Village (Pittsburgh). Marty Gillespie, Principal
Marty became involved in real estate in 1999 by joining Heartland Homes after a successful career at Eaton Corporation. Under his influence, starting as the sales and marketing manager and progressing to the role of President of the Company, Heartland Homes grew every year starting from 60 total homes and 10 million in revenue in 1999 to 500+ homes and over 160 million in revenue in 2012. Heartland Homes became Pittsburgh’s #1 custom homebuilder and received numerous awards including Builder of the Year, Consecutive Housing Excellence Awards, and National recognition for technology in the homebuilding business. During his career at Heartland Homes, Marty also became involved in the lalnd development business to develop communities for the Homebuilding Company, which led to the formation of Laurel Development with Dan Caste as a partner. Laurel Development currently has active projects consisting of Apartments, Townhomes, Carriage Homes and Classic Single Family Homes.
